Since joining the White Wed over a year ago, I’ve been really lucky to collaborate on so many beautiful styled shoots with some amazingly talented wedding suppliers. I still haven’t got around to blogging the other shoots and it really is on my to do list but for now I wanted to share this romantic winter styled shoot at Casterley barn because not only was it featured on valentines day, I’ve also been itching to share the images for months! The official name for the shoot is ‘A Winters End Romance’ and was put together by Jessica Turner and Hollie Freeland.

This was the first time I’ve worked on a shoot with two people rather than just a model as a bride and I’ll be really honest here, it was one of the most challenging shoots I’ve worked on. This is because usually when I’m photographing couples, they are just that, actual couples, who are in love and used to being around each other; they have no worries about getting close. Most styled couples you see are either professional models and know how to pose together OR they are a real life couple. These two were neither a real life couple nor were they both models so it was particularly challenging getting them to relax together. We got there in the end and as the day went on they definitely became more at ease about getting close for some of the shots.

I’ve worked at Casterley Barn before quite a few years ago when it first opened and since then I have been eagerly waiting to go back and shoot a real wedding there. I’ve been one of their preferred suppliers for a while and now things are picking up for them I have had lots of lovely couples inquire who are getting married there. I have booked a few weddings at Casterley Barn this year and I’m so excited to be part of a real couples special day at this unique venue.

This romantic winter styled shoot was featured over on The Green Union Blog, which by the way, is a beautiful wedding blog for the eco friendly bride and I highly recommend you go take a look. Anyway, here are some of the images from the shoot. Below is a full list of the suppliers.
